Hospital nursing consultant's files, 1940-1968.

Files of Helen F. Callon, the bureau's hospital nursing consultant, from 1946, when the program was established, until 1968. Included are correspondence about various aspects of the hospital nursing consultation program, memoranda, bulletins, statistical data, narrative reports from hospitals about their obstetrical departments, representative obstetrical manuals from several Wisconsin hospitals, and information on special projects concerning prevention of premature birth and the use of incubators, some of which predates the creation of the consultation program.
